1. What CoinLoupe is

CoinLoupe helps you find out what a coin is and what the precious metal in it is worth. It is an information tool, not an appraisal, a grading service, financial advice or an offer to buy or sell.

2. Results can be wrong

Coin checks use an AI service. It can misidentify a coin, misread a date or mint mark, or give the wrong weight or purity, especially from a blurry photo or a worn coin. CoinLoupe shows its confidence and other possibilities, and lets you correct the weight and purity. Check anything that matters (before you sell, insure or pay for a coin) with a dealer or a professional grading service.

3. Values are not prices

• Metal value is the value of the pure metal in a coin at the price quoted by our price source. It is not what a dealer will pay, and it ignores fees, premiums, wear and counterfeits.
• Collector value is a rough range for a typical worn example. It is an estimate only. Condition, date, mint mark, errors and demand change real prices a great deal.
• Metal prices come from a third party, can lag the market and can be wrong or unavailable. The app tells you when a price is approximate.

4. Who may use coin checks

Coin checks are for people aged 18 and over. You confirm this before your first check. You must have the right to photograph and submit the coins you check.

5. Checks, Pro and purchases

• New installs include a small number of free coin checks. Further checks are bought as credit packs, or come with CoinLoupe Pro. Credits are COSMO credits shared by Cosmovex apps that use COSMO; 1 credit is 1 coin check in CoinLoupe.
• Remove ads is a one-time purchase that turns off ads in CoinLoupe.
• CoinLoupe Pro is a subscription (monthly or yearly) that renews automatically until you cancel it in Google Play. It includes 60 coin checks every calendar month and removes all ads. The price and renewal period are shown before you buy. Cancel any time: Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
• A check that fails is not charged. Purchases are handled by Google Play and refunds follow Google Play's policies.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use CoinLoupe unlawfully, to submit images you have no right to submit, to attack or overload the service, or to reverse engineer it. We may limit or stop access to coin checks where we detect abuse.

7. Intellectual property

CoinLoupe, its design and its text belong to Cosmovex. Your photos and your collection are yours. You give us the limited right to process the photos you submit to produce your result, as described in the privacy policy.

8. No warranty, limited liability

CoinLoupe is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, Cosmovex is not liable for losses that come from relying on a result, a price or a value shown by the app, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be limited by law.
